Some days, all I need is a smoothie to jump start my morning. I absolutely love opening my fridge and having a smoothie multiple choice– that’s when I stand there stroking my invisible beard and say “Chocolate? Or no chocolate? That is the question.” And when I decide to wander from my bestie, I like to indulge in a classic banana/strawberry combo, but with some extra bliss.

Enter coconut butter and maca.

Coconut butter is SO delicious, and SO good for you! I could eat it right out of the jar, but I have to pace myself because it can be pretty damn expensive at my local grocery. It’s worth the cash though; coconut butter is full of essential amino acids, calcium, and magnesium. Plus, it helps your immune system and is full of good fats!

Maca is a fantastic supporter in this yummy equation: it is full of vitamins (C,B, and E)  and is a natural energy booster. While maca is a great for both men and women (helps with libido), it is really good for the ladies, supplying iron and helping you during your menstrual cycle and menopause.


Besides for the health benefits, they taste AMAZING together!

I’ve been gulping down this particular smoothie all week. I hope you try it and bliss out:)

Vegan Smoothie Bliss


  • 2 bananas
  • 1 C strawberries
  • 2 C soymilk
  • 2 tsp Maca Root Powder
  • 1-2 Tbsp Raw Coconut Butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Handful of ice cubes
  • Garnish with coconut chips and/or strawberry slices (optional)


  1. Mix all ingredients in a blender until smooth.
  2. Top with coconut chips and/or strawberry slices. Serves 4.
