Holiday No-Cheese Cheese Ball

Christmas is right around the corner. By now, you have probably starting thinking about what to stuff in those stockings and I’m sure there’s more than just sugar plums dancing in your head!

For kids, this time of year is nothing short of enchanting, and we all remember what it feels like to get so giddy on Christmas Eve. With adults, our expectations of Christmas has shifted away from toys; we mostly look forward to that time off with our families, to kick back and RELAX, and of course, stuff ourselves silly with delicious goodies.

Because Christmas means parties, and a party means food. Most likely, food means you need to be prepared to contribute (unless you’re one of those grinch free-loaders), and chances are it needs to be fast, yet delicious for guests.

One may be quick to mark anything vegan on the “don’t even bother because no one will eat it” list, but I beg to differ!

The recipe I want to share with you today is something special- I make it every year and it’s certainly popular with both vegans AND omnivores. #winwin! Above all though, it’s SUPER EASY to pull together, making you feel like you have a little bit of that Christmas magic up your sleeve.

And really, who could argue with this one: cheese balls are one of the highlights of the holidays. Spreadable cheese and crisp crackers come together to create a uniquely scrumptious crunch. When I served this to my meat-eating friends, they really couldn’t believe that cheese was no where to be found! Their chops (and mine) absolutely delight in the deliverance of flavor that this little sucker has to offer.

What you get with this “No Cheese” Holiday Vegan Cheese Ball, is creamy goodness with a hint of smoky flavor and heavenly herbs, accompanied by the sweetness of cranberries. A snap to make, it takes me only about 10 minutes to throw together before I pop it in the fridge. After it chills for an hour, the final step of rolling it in dried cranberries and chopped walnuts takes less than 5.

But just to warn you, it’s sure to go fast at all of your festive occasions, so you might want to make two! And if you like this, make sure to check out my Vegan Smoky Cheddar Cheese Ball as well!

This sounds delightful! I’m going to pin it and look for that Daiya cheese so I can give this one a try. We all love cheese balls but not all of our tummies agree with us afterwards so I love finding an alternative like this.
